“The public areas show off the heritage of this very old house to great effect. We loved the breakfast - both staff & food were outstanding. The extensive grounds contain the Golf courses, but even with magnificent trees and the lake, there is no escape from Golf. The only significant disappointment was Wifi coverage in the Mathern annexe. I spent far too much quality time back & forth to reception to no avail. Management seem to be addressing the issue, so fingers crossed for future……

“Probably great if you are a golf and spa person. However, if you had other ideas, such hiking and have no vehicle, not great. There is a hiking trail that starts behind the Golf Club where they store the golf carts (it took us a few hours to find it as the instructions how to get to it were hard to find). The trail (Vale Trail 8) takes you through boggy bug infested fields for hours before you get to the forest, but we never made it, somehow losing the trail and running out of water). So, unless……

“Nice little B&B a few yards from the course at Clyne. Small but well appointed twin rooms and a delicious full breakfast served in the clubhouse. Staff and members very hospitable and all four in our party very pleased and would happily stay again. ”

“Very basic, overall condition/cleanliness just about average. Examples, main door handle loose and very floppy, internal light switch very loose. Nooks and crannies need better attention etc. Bedding was clean and acceptable. Ok for an overnight stay. Quiet area, good views from outside.”
