"Great hotel, fantastic bowling addition - was great to have a few games with the family. Dinner was ok, very little gluten free options on the childrens menu but the kitchen tried their best to accommodate a 10 year old. Our room was very spacious, only let down was the shower - this was broken, so trying to get 4 people bathed was a pain. "

"What a lovely little find. 5 mins off the M1, but set in the grounds of an old vicarage and very quiet and tranquil. Lovely welcome from the owners, shown my room which was lovely and spotless. Shared kitchen area had everything, cooker, fridge, coffee machine… basically everything you need. You can use the garden area which had seating and tables which was lovely just to listen to the peace and quiet in the sunshine. Highly recommend this place for a quick stop off like myself, or a base to explore the local region. Very peaceful and quiet, set in the countryside. "

"Nice mid-range hotel with excellent spa (best treatments we’ve had, at very fair price, though no pool). Excellent dinner in restaurant & good breakfast. Our room was on 3rd floor and, being an old building, there’s no lift. Room was ok, though a ‘standard’ double, not a queen / king. There’s no air-con, but a good floor standing fan. Good sized bathroom with large shower. We will certainly return here as the spa & food are so good. "

"We were a group of 4 friends who met at University (a long time ago!).We’re spread across the country so this location just off the M40 was ideal. The facilities are great. Where else can you find the exclusive use of a tennis court, swimming pool and a snooker table?! The owner’s communication before and during our stay were first class. Check-in was very easy.No issues at all and you can safely ignore other reviews about the motorhomes causing parking problems -they are blocked parked down the side of the house and off the road. We really enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend! "
