Beautiful building & grounds. Large, comfortable bed. Good breakfast. However, we didn't enjoy our dinner in the restaurant - poor quality - and the service was appalling. Mainly because most of the servers were minors (probably 14) and hadnt been trained properly.

This was the perfect venue for a 3 day stay in the Scottish Borders. The cottage was lovely, with every home comfort and there were even delicious home baked scones and jam on the table to welcome us. The breakfast provided was extremely generous and our hosts werre very welcoming but unobtrusive. ...

Comfortable room, if a bit run down. Warm and plenty of hot water. Friendly service. Breakfast is good, and there is a good restaurant in the pub. Expensive, but everywhere around seems to be.

It's a lovely property, i stayed in a suite in the msin house. Rooms are big with gorgeous countryside views. Breakfasts was delicious....what ever you wanted was no trouble. P
