Only disappointment was our room didn’t have a volcano view as pictured but the room was incredible nonetheless and the main dining and pool area had a great view of the volcano. ”

“We just stayed at the Fortuna Retreat for 3 nights with our kids. We had a premium room with mountain view. I wanted to start by saying that the service was excellent even from before we reached the hotel. The communication with them was pretty fast. Thank you to Beverley and Alphonso for making our stay amazing and being very helful. For the price we paid, we just wished they had more amenities. It would have been nice to have some body cream and at least some tissues in the rooms. We didn't……

“We loved this spot! It was absolutely perfect for our family of 4. It didn't feel like a hotel in the best way - it felt more like you were staying at someone's private residence. Beautiful gardens, great pool and hot tub. And we loved the resident cats who would frequently come to visit. Staff were very attentive and replied quickly via WhatsApp if anything was ever required. We were able to enjoy the property early before check in, which we really appreciated after a long night of travel. I……

“We really liked the stay here. It had a great view and location right in town. The restaurant on site was very convenient with included breakfast each morning. They even arranged an early breakfast for us one morning as we had a tour leaving earlier than the opening time. Food was average, didn't wow me but did the job. We stayed in cabin 3 and it had a sewage smell from the minute we walked in that never left. We didn't experience this at our other lodgings in Monteverde or Manuel Antonio, so……

“It was so beautiful and Alvaro’s kindness and graciousness as a host made it even more memorable! We had wonderful adventures in the La Fortuna area and to be able to have some “down time” on the dreamy balcony was so rejuvenating. We’d highly recommend staying here!”
