We had a balcony view which looked onto the parking area. There’s a hospital across the street and during the night we heard very loud helicopter noise overhead. I had requested no dairy for breakfast and my omelette had cheese in it. My sisters room was on the first floor which was next to the breakfast/eating area. She……

“The room was clean and comfortable. It was a quiet night's sleep as I believe I was the only one there. Breakfast was very plain and simple: English muffins and cinnamon toast, with no fruit or juice. Coffee was plentiful”

“Loved the Black Walnut Inn. I would love to go back. The rooms are lovely. Breakfast is delicious. A very generous spread. Self-serve tea and coffee is available at all times in the dining room area. There are also treats one can help oneself too. Chocolate chip cookies our first day and molasses cookies the second. Meghan bakes the best cookies. Seriously, the best. The owners are very warm. If we visit Amherst again, staying here would be our first choice. Thank you.”

“Unfortunately we got locked out of our room because of an error on the hotel’s part they gave us a room with a broken door. We waited an hour or so for the owner to come and you could tell it’s happened multiple times before the door had marked of other attempts.i just wish I did pay full price for a not fully functioning room”

“Lovely updated property. Small pool and had issues with the AC in the gym but the lovely staff, nice breakfast and clean updated amenities made up for it. I would return.”
