“The service was wonderful. The staff helped arrange things like taxis and a horse ride and made sure I got breakfast before an early morning tour (excellent scones!). They were especially accommodating on my last day when I was taking a late train, allowing me to shower and have a place to hang out for a little while in the late afternoon. The common areas feel historic but comfortable and well kept. The rooms are mostly updated but if you want a historic feel, be sure to request it. Pretty much……

The interior of the unit was very clean and safe and easy to get too. We appreciated the in unit washer/dryer to catch up on our laundry while on our trip. “The hotel is being “refreshed”; there are missing latches on windows and odd plumbing, some tired carpets, weird (to my tastes) metal animals arranged around the property. However, the room was clean and functional, the restaurant food was very good for dinner and breakfast.”

“Charming and quaint home. It is much like a traditional Bn'B, but without the breakfast. The host was very kind and gracious, personally welcoming us at 10:00 p.m. for a late check-in. Our room was very clean and comfortable with a private bathroom. At this rate, I would have appreciated hair conditioner in the shower. Also, the room door lock did not work well. One small push and the door would open when "locked". Overall I would recommend a stay here, just research and inquire prior to……

“I stayed in three different hostels for my first Scotland trip. This is the best one out of the three. Definitely I will return during my next visit to Inverness.
