“I did not feel safe there. It is a few rooms above a very active bar. There is no secure entrance to the rooms. Just a chair on.the stairs Sign- For hotel guest only. When you get to the room, it is a key door and it does not lock automatically.. which we did not realize until the next morning. Expedia and I contacted the owner.. scheduled for three more nights and he gave me one night credit. I talked to aother tourist who were staying in room above another bar. She said that……

“I stayed in three different hostels for my first Scotland trip. This is the best one out of the three. Definitely I will return during my next visit to Inverness. This hostel was the only one that could accommodate my request for a lower bunk bed, which I greatly appreciated, as I needed to wake up in early morning. “Staying at this hotel was like a roller coaster of service, and I just wanted to get away. Breakfast: We were asked to pay an extra £18 per person, and we were told we could cancel it, but they forced it on us. Cleaning: The "wet" towels were placed on the bed, but how do I use them? Biscuits were only replenished on the last day. The cleaning standards varied from day to day, suggesting a problem with "standardized procedures" and "staff training." They even unplugged our chargers and threw……

“My mother and I stayed at Jacobite House for 6 nights and had an excellent stay. Check-in was easy and quick, and our room (B1) was comfortable and spotless. When we needed anything, staff working on site were only too happy to help. Location can’t be beat; you are right in the heart of Inverness city centre, and you are within easy walking distance to all amenities. There is some noise from street level, but that quickly becomes white noise! We highly recommend staying here!”

“No amenities. The room was noisy not from the inhouse bar but the street- early recycling, trash pick up, and after other bars closed. There is an onsite bar- the pizza was good! The location is convenient for transport, shopping etc.”
