Excellent condo and excellent location

We enjoyed our stay at The Dawn. We travel frequently and The Dawn is always our top choice. This condo was clean and I especially loved that the bathrooms were stocked with body wash and shampoo. That was a special touch!

Fun rest spot before Cruise

We came a couple of days before a cruise and loved the location and the place. Warning that although the condo was handicapped accessible the access to it was not. We had several stairs from the parking lot and into the condo that caused difficulty. Teen grandsons helped or we could not have managed.

Galveston stay

We were here on business. It was very close to the convention center where we were working all weekend. Great place to stay. Would definitely stay here again.

Wonderful

This was a really comfortable condo. There were three adults, my husband and I and our youngest adult son. We had plenty of room to sprawl out after the day and be comfortable. Great little balcony to look across the highway at the ocean. The beds were very comfortable, & each had its own bathroom. Very roomy . Plus, nice sized walk-in closets where you could actually lay out your suitcases on the floor in there. Hang stuff up and not be stepping over your suitcases on the actual bedroom’s floor. Great size kitchen. It’s a really nice condo. I could see where you would actually retire to this place and just live in it kind of downsized. excellent location for pleasure pier, etc. It has two swimming pools, really nice sized plus one has a hot tub. It was never crowded, but we are in the off-season. The only thing that I would say is parking could be a little better bc you park on the backside so you have to go up a short set of stairs with your suitcases as parking is not available in the level front of the bldg. but actually, you’re only lug your suitcases up one time bc the next trip is going down.. And I would strongly suggest a grab bar in the master bedroom shower. It’s beautifully tiled, but the tile on the floor can be a little slick so, a grab bar would’ve been nice to have in there. Other than that, we would come back in a heartbeat. And the price was unbelievably reasonable.

Cute condo with fun beach vibe

We enjoyed this condo as it was at a great location right across from the beach (highway in between). The grounds were very pretty and well kept. Walmart is right next door and neighborhood felt safe. It was very clean but there was a strong pledge (wood cleaner) smell that never went away, a few of us even got headaches. The closets in each room were huge which was great to have our open luggage out of the way. Kitchen had what we needed. We were disappointed that there were no extra pillows or blankets for the couch pullout, only sheets. It was also horrible to lay on and probably the only reason we wouldn’t book this condo again. It would be great for 4 people. Everything else was wonderful and we loved our visit. Note that the pool closes at 9pm. We wish we knew that although they did say to get wrist bands from the office.

All around excellent.

Dawn Condominiums are clean and overall well maintained. Our particular unit was also well maintained, clean, well appointed, and had everything (bedding, bathroom, and kitchen) for a long stay (2-weeks for us). It is on the first floor but you have several steps to climb to get there from the parking lot. The pool was in excellent condition and the pool area was great. It is also close to the condo. Even though they had encountered some water damage in the main office and fitness room, they had cleaned it up and kept most of the fitness equipment available. This was important to us. It is also in the same building as the office. The beach is immediately across the highway and a Walmart is across the street. Other shopping is also available nearby. Of course, their are many great restaurants all within a 4 mile drive. Definitely recommend.

It wasn’t bad

I loved the condo it was super. It’s we just had a few problems on it being clean. When we got there there was left over food in the cabinets, and a huge pan of grease left in the oven. The pillows on the couch also had weird crusty something on them. The shower curtain was also not clean. Everything else was super great and my friends and I even talked about coming back again! It just needs to be cleaned better!

Vacation getaway

We loved the property. There are 2 large pools and 1 hot tub. Our condo faced the ocean and we could walk across the street to the beach. It was conveniently located to restaurants, grocery store etc. Property was very clean and comfy. We will be back.

Perfect!!

We had a wonderful stay!! The place was absolutely awesome! Great neighbors!! Owners son was there to help with all questions/concerns. But it was perfrct!! Clean, quiet and a great location. Would definitely stay again!! Very safe and wonderful furnishings!! Absolutely NOTHING bad to say!! Loved the 2 king sized beds!!

Unbeatable Location

My teenage son and I stayed for a long weekend at this lovely 2 bed/2 bath first floor condo. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but overall we had a fantastic stay. The location was absolutely perfect, just a short walk across the street and we were playing in the ocean.

Property needed some attention

Sliding patio door wouldn't lock, patio door/window wasn't fully covered. Contacted Vacasa several times and were promised responses and callbacks that never happened. Finally saw contact number for local rep and she sent repair person over quickly... but it was almost 48 hours later. Will not use Vacasa again.

Not good

Bedding wasn’t changed before we got there. Nasty coffee pot. No laundry detergent. A cockroach in the bathroom. Curtains don’t cover doors. No garbage bags. No extra toilet paper. Garbage under sofa.

Nice condo and area

The condo was nice and comfortable. We however found it dark. We mentioned it to Vacasa but nothing was ever done. The pools were great, only one was heated but no problem. Close to the beach and everything the area had to offer. We would never stay in another property managed by Vacasa.

Great location

We had a great stay, but there were a few things that might make it better/easier for others in the future, There was no notebook or folder with information and instructions. We didn’t have any direction about check-out procedures and what was expected. One of the TVs had a prompt for ‘parental control code’ but we had no code, so that TV was unusable. All in all, it was fine and we were content; just a few areas that might be improved.

Convenient but needs cleaning

Condo looks nice but on closer inspection the walls and pictures are filthy. Mattress has pee and blood on it, no mattress pad even though I asked for one. Back door lock was broken. Main toilet barely flushes.. Curtains by street do not go all the way across, so no privacyfrom a busy street. Water in fridge door doesnt work, microwave is horribly loud. Also found out that they charge $38 for parking pass......room extremely hard to locate and no direction signs. Hot tub is freezing cold. Would not return to this specific condo, but area was convenient.
