"I paid top dollar for a room here for 3 nights. After everything was totalled up i paid just over 700 dollars. That did not bother so much since I waited just under 2 weeks before booking. After 7 hours of driving I check in and in order to get my room I am told by the front desk receptionist that she will need a credit card to put a 75 dollar incidental charge on my card that will be put back from what I understood, as long as the room was ok upon leaving. Then, I am told that 7 dollars a day will be taken from the incidental for parking, 21 dollars total after spending over 700 dollars. It's little things like this that just irritated me after my long journey. Then the hotel only does cleaning every other day and when they did they did not make the beds. And, I have 4 in my group and they would only give us 3 towels for the shower. Another inconvenience, after paying so much! You would think they would know how many guests are staying in a room. So, for me and my family, if I return to see the Ark Encounter, I will not stay here again! Work out all the dang fees (parking included) in the booking process and don't surprise ppl when they arrive and are tired from their journey! And know how many ppl are staying in the room and have it ready for that # of guests! So, if this was the only hotel in the area, I might suck it up if I come back, but thankfully it is not! Hotels.com should also know this stuff about their partner hotels as well! Scott Patterson "

"I am typically an optimist, but this was honestly the worst hotel we have ever stayed at. I have no idea how its operating under the Wyhdam name - holes in the walls, the doors, unclean EVERYTHING, and did not feel safe to sleep under the covers. We had our kids with us and they were almost scared because everything looked so distraught. We are so disappointed this is even open and a 5star - it is a 2star at best. "

"The room was clean, staff was very nice. The lights outside the room window was very bright at night, could use some extra curtains on the the sides of the blinds to help keep some of the light out while trying to sleep at night."

"I accidentally rented a smoking room for starters....so i knew going into the room the smell was going to be bad. Once I pulled back the sheets, there were stains on it. Called front desk, gave me new sheets. Bath mat was stained as well. Walls were filthy, area under sink was dirty. Blankets had burn holes in them and trim on blankets were tore. Breakfast options minimal. Highway noise was extremely loud. Hard to sleep. Definitely not a peaceful stay by any means. "

"The staff were very friendly and the property itself was easy to get to, clean and felt safe. The housekeeping staff could clean better though. We had a coffee stain on our fitted sheet and mattress our first night. They replaced the sheet once we asked but don’t even attempt to clean the mattress. The smell was pretty strong when we laid down. The corners of our bathroom were pretty gross too, behind the doors. You could tell the hadn’t been cleaned in a while and had hair in the corners. "
