"Modern minimalist ryokan style hotel. Staff and service was excellent. Food delicious but amount sometimes overwhelming. Comfort could be hugely improved- no armchairs in the room makes it difficult to relax after a huge dinner and either talk or watch the tv or admire the scenery outside the room. Onsen bath lovely and hot. Location remote but bus service is excellent. "

"What a treat. We were wanting to stay up near the ropeway but that was closed for repairs and the spots near there were full. I bumped into this spot on line and it felt like a secret treasure. "Amazing onsen! I booked a room with a private open air onsen for end of March 2024 and was blown away at how nice my room and the entire hotel was. The facility was impeccable, food was good, staff was super nice and my room was so great. I was only there two nights and regret not staying longer. I will definitely come back to this onsen. "Very close to Hirayo Nihi bus center, Staff is very friendly and full of service mind. (She explained all about hotel layout, open hour of each onsen, confirmed for checkout time, stand by for early check-out) There are more than 10 open-air onsens, and more 2 private onsen you can choose to relax. Another thing I was appreciated is a van for going to "Ankiya restaurant" provided by Hirayunomori, and it is my best restaurant for my 10-days-trip. "

"Hotel got 2 onsen, both with outdoor onsen. The one on 1F was so relaxing in a green setting. Rooms n amenities provided have also exceeded expectation. Hotel provides shuttle service from JR station, but very limited timing. Nonetheless, will stay again when in Takayama"
