“The place is a bit more dated than what appears online, and the beds are pretty hard- even the pull-out couch. However, if you’re just looking for a place to crash, it’s fine. Pool & hot tub was nice but the sauna had a foul smell in the room and we had to leave the whole room- maybe because somebody left the sauna on!? Overall I would give it three stars; not overly impressive, but also not bad. Nice parking though and great to have a market just next door.”

“Timberline Lodge in Arnold is a nice hotel conveniently located along CA-4. It was very close to Calaveras Big Trees State Park.
