“Really lovely room, ocean views”

“We had seen mixed reviews about other people's stays and were a bit apprehensive about what to expect. We could NOT have had a more fantastic stay. Staff were extremely attentive and welcoming especially Veejay( the manager), Gary, Anne and Nadine. We are a family of 6 ( 3 adult couples) and it was the perfect highland base for exploring the area. Food was fresh and was made from scratch. Leave time for leisurely meals. Specially props for breakfast pancakes. Rooms were spacious and beds……

“Very tired old property. When they showed us the room it first reminded me of one of the servant quarters in a recent historic house tour. We booked a classic double. The room was damp, full of dusty furniture and the bed mattress springs were gone. There was a tiny window with a view to nothing. We lasted 10 mins and left. “We had an excellent stay at the Smithton hotel. Lovely people, had everything that we needed, excellent beds and showers, the location was perfect and the price was fantastic, especially as we had to book late notice. The breakfast in the morning was personally made to order. Fantastic place in a very convenient location.”
