“The St. Clair in Frankfort is a charming boutique stay in a beautifully restored historic building, with loft-style studios full of character, an easy walk to downtown restaurants, and a convenient drive to nearby bourbon distilleries and Churchill Downs. There’s even a hidden speakeasy on-site, if you can solve the riddle to get in! Just know that, as with many historic loft properties, you may hear some noise from guests staying above you.”

“The property is a repurposed historic home and the rooms very unique in the best way. Staff was so accommodating from housekeeping to restaurant and bar servers. Also, it's just a short walk to local shopping, restaurants and historic sites. We'll definitely be back.”

“Our room smelled strongly musty. Either the carpets are moldy or the A/C unit needs cleaned or replaced. The rest of the room was fairly clean. Breakfast was average for hotel food but there was only one option for coffee creamer--shelf stable liquid creamer, which is full of chemicals and not really food. Overall, disappointed! Room was expensive and yet smelly.”

“The room was clean and all the staff I encountered were friendly and helpful. I liked the setup, it was nice having both a private door to the outside and a door to the inside of the hotel.”

“The location was beautiful. But the house was very dirty and in need of much repair. The water smelled like poop. The toilet in our room was filled with waste. The ceiling downstairs right by the kitchen had a huge hole and pipes exposed. The front door was broken and needed much repair. The patio out back was filthy the kitchen a complete mess with dishes stacked in the sink. They had cats and dogs in the house and while I was eating a cat jumped up in my lap. “Rose Hill Inn is amazing! Beautiful room and very comfortable beds, lots of little touches (chocolates by the bed, waters and soft drinks in the fridge, coffee, complimentary breakfast which was delicious! Would highly recommend, will definitely be back! Very friendly owners!”
