AVERAGE HOTEL- NO ELEVATORPosted Oct 2, 2015
Pros: location was ok, about 3 blocks from nearest underground station
Cons: Tell people no elevator in the ads for hotel
Location: nice coffee shops for breakfast
Listed as a "boutique hotel," the hotel was clean, staff friendly. Room was small, but clean. However, it was on the 3rd floor of a 3 story building (3 full flights of stairs to get to room). I would not have stayed at a hotel without a lift (elevator). We are both over 65 y/o and that info should have been listed in the information regarding the hotel. We made the decision to go down in the morning and not return until late at night so we only had to climb the 3 long flights of stairs one time per day.

The hotel has no elevator.Posted Sep 28, 2015
My room was on the 5th floor and the hotel has no elevator. There was no phone in my room. The location of the hotel is quite good though.

A shambles!Posted Sep 26, 2015
Arrived to find the twin room we had booked had been substituted for 2 single rooms on different floors! Other guests were complaining of the same. Wasted 2 hours of our precious time waiting whilst the duty manager tried to find us another room, suggesting that a double room in a Holiday Inn would be a fair swap! No option but to stay and accept a discount and upgrade to full English breakfast. Rooms were tiny with minuscule TVs, but to be fair were clean and comfortable. No lift. Hazardous staircase with no banister down to restaurant in the basement. Furnishings in restaurant were very worn, a curtain rail had fallen next to one of the tables and had just been left with exposed screws etc. Breakfast took 35 minutes to arrive and was cold. 4 stars??? What a joke. Really disappointed.

Convenient and quiet...Posted Sep 4, 2015
This is an older hotel without lots of frills, but nice and well located for my purposes. The shower was modern and excellent after a day of walking around London and the bed was quite comfortable. There's a great strip of coffee shops right on the corner and while Gower Street is very quiet, you can walk just 5-10 and be in busy vibrant areas. My only complaint was that my room was located on the ground floor by the stairs and sometimes people would clomp up them which was quite loud in my room. Would recommend this place for sure though.

Very comfortable hotel, great location.Posted Aug 28, 2015
Pros: Random search in Bloomsbury area
Cons: Include a hairdryer in the bathroom.
Location: Right near the British Museum and a 5 minute walk to Oxford Street, 15 minute walk to Convent Gardens.
Super comfortable and convenient hotel. Bloomsbury is a nice area with many restaurants, stores and cafes near by. Metro is 1 block away. Would definitely stay here again! The room was clean, bed was the most comfortable bed I've slept in on my trip! Bathroom was also very clean and shower pressure was great. There was no blowdryer in the bathroom.
