London hotel in business district

Pros: Room was great and staff very helpful. Marco Pierre White (Chef) also has a restaurant linked to hotel. Worth a visit.
Cons: nothing I didn't like about the hotel other than it bring in the business district
Location: London bridge close by? Museums & shopping also close by.

In the heart of the Business District

Pros: It was convenient to the tube and to the event we traveled to London for.
Cons: Attitudes of the front desk staff and cater to the hotel guest.
Location: Walking distance to the attractions and to the tube.
Arrived at the hotel early due to an overnight flight. The hotel has a 2pm check in, we asked if we could get a room earlier than 2pm and were told(not very politely)that there wasn't one available. My husband made a comment and the man at the desk replied that he didn't care. We sat in the lobby for more than 4 hours, they waited until EXACTLY 2pm to give us the room. I have traveled extensively and understand a check in time, getting the room ready and what it entails, usually I would have left the luggage and walked around the city, but was too tired after the long journey. I have been given rooms early as they become available, I have never had to wait till the exact time of check in. While sitting there for 4+ hours, we didn't see anyone checking out, so how did rooms become available? I assume there were rooms available, but for whatever reason we were made to wait till 2pm. There were 3 other people waiting till 2pm also. The staff were friendly the rest of the days. The air conditioning in our room cooled, but not to the point we would like to have had it,no matter how long it ran or how low we set it, it didn't seem to get cooler. If not for the mold on the caulking in the shower and bathroom floor, I would rate the cleanliness a 5.

Stay at Threadneedles hotel London

Very nice hotel. Neighbourhood is busy during the week, but quiet at weekends. We stayed on a Saturday and the hotel was quiet, but had the bonus of having an upgrade to a suite. Room was very nice with a comfortable bed and excellent shower. Went to the hotel bar but was too quiet for us (only 2 people in there) so went to a nearby cocktail bar.

Beautiful hotel, a little too far from most things

Everything about the hotel was wonderful, however, being based in the City, makes it very difficult to find places to eat, or drink outside of the hotel itself. This is especially true at the weekend when the city is pretty much closed. For those who don't know London very well, the City is the financial district of London and as you would imagine is focused on businessmen and not tourists.
