“The room was under some sort of construction. There was a light fixture randomly laying in the only chair, and more hanging from the walls in the bathroom all over the sink. No electricity in the bathroom at all. Television didn’t work and the smoke detector had been removed. When we asked the front desk for a different room we were told the hotel had no empty room yet we saw several that looked unoccupied hours later when we returned from dinner.
