“My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay Mango Sunset and would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Big Island. Dan, the owner, greeted us at the door with a jar full of homegrown ground coffee and helped us with our bags to our room. We stayed in the Ocean View room and it was fantastic. “English Complaint Draft The curtains offer poor sunshade. Sunlight comes through clearly at 6 a.m., and they cannot be fully closed. The old-fashioned air conditioner is extremely noisy. There are also cockroaches in the room. What's more, parking fees are charged in advance, yet we are told there are no available parking spaces. “staffs were nice and helpful. But the hotel itself was old, bedding was clean but too small couldn’t fit the king size bed. The room has very poor soundproofing, and noises from the hallway can be clearly heard. The facilities are outdated and do not justify the $400+ per night rate.”

“Mostly very clean, except sliding glass doors. Would have cleaned myself but no cleaning materials on site. Wanted to love this place. We have stayed in other units but were delighted to find a first floor unit. The good: well equipped, comfortable, plenty of towels, and beach stuff. Nice patio area.
