“Comfortable, clean and beautiful ”

“It was our first trip to Boothbay and we couldn't have been more pleased!!! The Shipbuilder's retreat was well appointed in every way! Wide open, well cared for, and comfortable. We enjoyed coffee on the deck and playing games in the evening. It was a convenient trip to the local grocery store, and was very near to all the beauty and joys of the Harbor, light house's, LL Bean (an hour), and hiking. We LOVE it! “We loved our stay here! What I loved most was the common area with the large sectional and seating area. Plenty of space for the 5 of us to spread out! We used the kitchen for all meals and it was adequately stocked with everything we needed for cookware and utensils. The beds were comfortable with plenty of pillows. The location is great, a quiet neighborhood and easy drive to the harbor. The only thing I would suggest to make it a better stay is more towels and adequate bedding for the pullout……

“House was immaculate, roomy and up to date. Anything needed was supplied. Host could not have been more attentive and accommodating to our needs. All of our party were adults but had a great time with shuffleboard, board games, and hot tub. Perfect combination of adult and kid friendly home. Location was far enough away from town for privacy but close enough if needed anything or wanted to go out for dinner and drinks. Will definitely stay again when in the area.”

“The location was a 10 minute drive from Boothbay and the rooms were newly renovated and very cute. But some of the furniture was coming apart during normal use. Biggest concerns were as follows:1. Very poor communication from host. They didn't provide us with entry information until the morning of, and didn't answer our messages. We ended up calling VRBO the night before as we were scared from the lack of contact. They got ahold of the host who finally answered us the night before arrival. At……

“The apartment was quite cozy and clean. However, winter in Maine is unpredictable and must prepare for it. Huge liability risk not to have lighted parking area at night, walkways too narrow of snow and not well lit or shoveled.”
