"The Beekman Arms is a beautiful, historic hotel, and there is much to like about it. However, be warned: There is no elevator, and in its several buildings, the stairs are steep. Also be warned: the complementary breakfast is served in only one of the buildings (not the main one), and a walk of a block or two, depending on where you are staying, may be necessary, at times in the rain. On our second day there, the breakfast was disappointing, with the variety of breads and pastries present on our first day replaced by only one kind of bread and a soft roll. There were also no herbal teas available and only one variety of instant oatmeal. Our room on the second floor of the main house was charming but tiny, taken up mostly by a four-poster bed that, for my wife, was about chest high. The stool provided to enable her to get into it was helpful, but some might be put off. The huge, thick mattress was, however, quite comfortable. We got an unusually good rate on the room, due (according to the hotel) to the 250th anniversary year of the U.S. I would say it is questionable whether, with all its quirks and the tiny room, our stay would have been worth the higher, usual rate. But it was interesting to stay at an historic site decorated with authentic memorabilia of its illustrious past."

"This is a very well-maintained property. We gave it a "good" for price/value because it's somewhat pricey for 2 people. Although it sleeps 8 it only has one shower and a bathtub with no curtain, which does not work well for more than 3 or 4 guests. The house is lovely and has a nice backyard and deck. The kitchen is well-stocked. The beds are comfy and the host even supplies robes along with a full complement of towels. The whole house is spotless.We truly enjoyed our 2-day stay there and would recommend it highly."

"My daughter was competing at the HITS Horse Show, just 10 minutes away, so Deborah’s home was the perfect place for our three-night stay! The house was beautiful, spotless, and so welcoming. Deborah went above and beyond by leaving snacks, bottled water, and a few essentials in the refrigerator, which made us feel right at home. The backyard was absolutely beautiful and such a nice place to relax after a long day at the show. Deborah truly deserves a five-star rating—she was the ultimate hostess with the mostest! We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend her home to anyone visiting the area."

"**Amazing stay at this Glasco house!**The decor and coziness of the house were amazing, and the location can't be beat: close proximity to town, and a pool for the kids that made the trip incredible. It felt like a real home, full of warmth, and it was perfect for our family. Highly recommend.Great home base too. Saugerties, Woodstock, Hudson, and Kingston are all close by, plus plenty of other spots to explore. Book this for your next family vacation!"
