“Single room looked out on to an air conditioning unit outside on the roof and into a house on other side of road. Kept curtains shut as nothing to look at. Watermarks in the ceiling. Shower riser fell on me in the shower. Staff unengaging in conversation. No pleasantries. No welcome. Female solo traveller and engaging, friendly customer service is everything when you visit a hotel. On check out no one answered the bell on the desk. I had to find a waiter and let them know I left my key on the……

“The hotel is a few minutes walk from Mallaig train station, and the ferry terminal. There are two supermarkets and a few restaurants around the village so that one can easily get refreshments. I was amazed that the hotel is in a delicate traditional wooden decor, and has a relaxing garden terrace. I also enjoyed the window view a lot! The room was clean and it’s reception was excellent. I strongly recommend anyone who plan to visit any Hebrides islands, give the hotel a chance,.”

“Lovely hotel/inn to stay at! The staff were excellent and quite helpful - even with our late arrival. Very comfortable room with private bathroom with shower that works well. Breakfast in the morning was quite good! Thanks for the lovely stay!”

“Nice friendly check in, room was lovely with a nice view to mallaig. Food was excellent and reasonably priced as was the wine and lager ( a pint for less than £4 😁). The staff at dinner and breakfast were nice and polite and done their job very well. Thank you to all the team who made our stay relaxing. ”
