My wife and I really enjoyed our stay at the Otter Creek Inn. The Only minor complaint we might have was the size of the shower in unit #5 (the only one we know about). If you are a large person that shower may present an issue. Other than that, our week there was great. Dawn, the manager was always helpful and we shared a few laughs with Evelyn over morning coffee. Speaking of which, the "small" continental breakfast at the market is great. If you want to be out of the town to escape the madness of the crowds after a day of hiking/ shopping/ eating, then this is the perfect place for you. I mentioned the Market. Check prices there for some of the things sold in town. The Market price is much lower. Souvenir Maple Syrup was $5.99 in town and $2.99 at the Otter Creek Market for the exact same thing, just saying. :)

The location was beautiful and very peaceful! Room was nice and clean and staff was friendly! Highly recommend the place!

You will not be disappointed with what you see once you see inside the doors. Beautifully decorated and everything you need, but... it is more like a modular 4-apartment home / b&b - no ocean view, at the end of a dirt road (lots of dust), but a few deer met us as we unpacked. We were skeptical at first, yet pleasantly surprised with our stay. I highly recommend, so long as your expectations are set.

First I wanna say the owner is sweet and I think she means well but I feel like its too much for her to maintain and be responsible for. My friend and I booked this room for a night on our way to Bar Harbor. I noticed immediately that the harbor IS across the street but theres a building there not a little beach or anything that you can go down onto. The yard in front of the house is somewhat unkept, needed mowed for sure. Gayle met us at the door introduced herself and took us upstairs to "Jessicas room" which would be ours for the night. It was small but clean. No a/c... Our room adjoined to another room that unfortunately was occupied by a male and female (I know because when they talked and laughed and had pillowfights or whatever they were doing) it was like they were in our room. They had their tv soo loud. I called Gayle and she offered to drive over and speak with them but it was late and I was concerned about this older lady having to get up and drive over in the dark.I told her to not come. I thought, I will turn on our tv and turn it up real loud. Unfortunately our TV did not work. ( A little detail Gayle new but didnt share) My friend bangs on the wall after hrs of listening to the idiots next door. The voices got quieter but the tv was on All night. Gayle couldnt call them because she didnt have their number. How?? IDK. We asked for a different room but she said none of them were nearly ready. We looked in the windows of the others and they looked ready. Awful..
