Lovely hotel

"Lovely family run hotel, sensitively restored to a high standard in a small residential area just outside Muskiz. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are beautifully furnished. Although it is advertised as having a restaurant, it does not serve evening meals and we were directed to the local town which was very run down and although there were a few bars open, none served food and the restaurants we found were all closed. The factory referred to in other posts is in fact a massive oil refinery supplying 11,000 l oil daily and is a massive blot on the landscape. Though we could not see it from our room, nor does it produce any significant noise or fumes, it is hard to ignore. "

"We had a good experience with this hotel. The room was clean and nice. It smelled like smoke around reception, which we did not like, but the rest of the hotel was not that way. There was a convenience store and cafeteria nearby which was nice. It was fairly close to the metro stop, which was good as it is pretty far from the center of Bilbao. The parking was also convenient and included, which we appreciated!"

"Al llegar, me recibió en recepción la mujer más amable del mundo. Me hizo sentir bien recibida y me dió un juego de llaves para la habitación y a la pensión. La habitación y el servicio: limpios. La pensión se encuentra muy bien ubicada a cuadra y media de la Plaza y la estación de metro Areeta. La zona es muy segura y bien iluminada (os digo yo, que fui a un concierto en Ereaga, regresé en metro y caminé a la Pensión a eso de la 1 de la madrugada). Montón de opciones de comida al rededor. Eskerrik asko."

"More of a popular pub with accomadation than a hotel. We couldnt fault our room, balcony and bathroom. High standard and quality of build. Nothing cheap and nasty about it. A couple of places within 5 mins walk for dining. Mind you the restaurants don't open before 9pm so we stuffed ourselves with tapas as we were hungry at 7.30. Good parking across the road, in a grassy treelined setting."
