Ive heard bad things about Newport and alot of drugs. But i never saw any people just standing or hanging around.

I won't be returning. I can stay in a much safer, less sketchy place for the same price I paid at the Quality Inn and have a much nicer room that is truly a non smoking room that doesn't affect my allergies!

We were just traveling through on our way further south. Newport was a good stopping point to do some hiking the next day in the smokies near I-40.
