“Travelers should beware that Otsego Resort's front desk closes early, like 5 pm, even in the summer. I and my family were arriving late, so I called ahead, before 5 pm, to let them know of my late arrival. I had to leave a message, and no one called me back. When we arrived a little before 10 pm the doors were locked and the lights off. We had to find accomodations elsewhere. When I called the next day, the attendant at the front desk apologized profusely and promised to give me a refund. ……

“No one cleaned our room, despite two requests - including one to housekeeping who was standing right outside our door as my husband left and promised they’d clean our room next. We called ahead to ask for a rollaway bed, then asked at check-in. Both times we were told the hotel was busy (for different reasons) with no extra beds. “Not the fanciest resort we've ever stayed at, but it comfortable and met our expectations. The bed was comfortable and the shower was hot. The resort staff was excellent and very helpful. The bathroom is small, the toilet was the smallest you could get in that space and the shower was stained. There was no breakfast.
