"Breakfast is free, all was good. Nothing to compain about"

"The place is very convenient—it’s close to pretty much everything: the beach, shops, and the pier. The parking is very spacious and safe. At first glance, the place has a decent exterior. The staff was very kind, especially the receptionist when we arrived—she was very friendly. Everything was very easy when it came to checking in. The rooms are renovated, but not very clean. When you walk on the floor with socks, they turn black from how dirty it is. Make sure to check the sheets before settling in, because ours had stains near the foot of the bed, around the fold of the mattress. It’s a very quiet place we went during the low season. The pool was clean and a bit warm, a little small, but since there weren’t many people, it was more than enough for my husband and me. Would I book another room at that hotel again? If there were no other options, I would, but if I had better choices, I’d pass on the opportunity to stay there, mainly because the room we stayed in was not very clean. "

"When I rented the room through Expedia I was told there was staff at the front desk between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. and check in time was 4:00 p.m. On my way to Hilton Head I got a text from 210 area code saying that I had to do an online check-in because nobody was working at the front desk. I received a another text saying to do an online check-in looking for my credit card information too. I was told not to give my credit card information out to third parties. When I arrived at the hotel there was nobody in the office or no staff to be found. I sent texts back to the hotel asking for my room number and entry code and was told I wouldn't receive it until I gave my credit card information out. At this point I felt like I was being held hostage just to check in by giving my credit card to an attachment to a text. It's been my worst experience yet on renting rooms regularly on Expedia. The hotel was also rated as good with an 8 out of 10 rating I would give the hotel no more than a four or five out of 10 as a rating. Very disappointed with my stay there and wanting to make sure there's no miscellaneous charges on my credit card!."
