"Honestly one of the worst hotel I’ve been to. The room for 3 was clearly for 2, with the 3rd person supposed to either sleep on the sofa that’s not a sofa bed, or in a tiny that’d barely fit a teenager. The staff is nice but the owner, an old lady, is the rudest person I’ve met. I asked for Tabasco and she literally told me to go and buy it myself. The breakfast is terrible, we stopped having it after 3 days because we couldn’t see it anymore. The “pool” is at best a bath tub. This is NOT a 5\*, at best, best, 3\*. You should avoid "

"Property is set in beautiful gardens which are maintained daily.Rob, Rachel and Winnie are fantastic hosts they make you feel very welcome from when you step into their hidden paradise. Pool is excellent- good amount of sun beds.We are very fit and we could walk to local shop and bus stops, ideal local beach 1.5 miles away, however a car would be required if physically impaired.The property is ‘rustic’ not a recent build and I feel it is difficult for family to maintain, however we were not disappointed. All amenities within in good working order, dishes cups and glasses plentiful we did cook a number of times without any difficulty.It’s rural location results in lot of dog barking at night, ear plugs good option. The family dogs and cats are adorable.Would highly recommend a stay at Crete Retreat when visiting Chania as it is a busy harbour area and it’s a pleasure to escape the hustle and bustle with a 2 euro bus ride back to the countryside."

"Simply my best stay ever.Diana was not simply a super super host but an amazing being. The property is close to the airport, old city Chania, restaurants and more. Accessing the main highways was very easy. The pool wow.And last but not least was the hidden gem outside the kitchen that was our all day sitting area, away from the sun but with a nice breeze.Honestly we did not want to leave and definitely the villa will be our home away from home when we return to Chania.The views are spectacular, the comfort is like home, the kitchen well stacked. An addition that did not appear in the pictures is a new railing for the stairs to the bedrooms.Before booking, one review that impressed me was that the pictures don’t make it justice. Well I second the motion. Thank you again Diana and regards to all."

"Our family of 11 had the most incredible stay at this beautiful villa in the hilltop area of Chania! From the moment we arrived, we were blown away by the breathtaking sea views, the peaceful surroundings, and the attention to detail in every corner of the property. The villa itself is immaculate — spacious, stylish, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for a relaxing holiday. There was more than enough room for 6 couples and a 16 year old. The pool was perfect for cooling off, with plenty of floaties and so beautiful in the evening with colorful lights. The outdoor dining areas quickly became our favorite spot to enjoy meals with that gorgeous Cretan sunset in the background.Our hosts Goya and Alex went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable — always available, warm, and ready with great recommendations for anything we wanted to do. Chania itself is full of charm, beaches were beautiful, food was incredible and being able to return to such a serene retreat each evening made the trip even more special.We highly recommend this villa for anyone looking for a magical escape in Crete!
