"We loved the adult pool, but it could use additional umbrellas and umbrellas that adjust. Also there was service, but it was quite slow due to lack of staffing. The beach is okay and steep with a drop off in some areas. It's also short and the free umbrellas are small and don't provide much shade. We appreciated the coolers with electrolyte water at the entrance to the beach, but we did not spend any time on it other than to walk due to the heat, and these biting flies. The rooms are upgraded and nice, but our building had humidifiers running 24-7 and they were outside our room, and loud. The air in the room was wonderful though. Our room was attached to a LOUD family with a kid that had the loudest voice I've ever heard. Perhaps, keep adults on separate floors from children if possible. We like children, but that was nuts. The building inside is updated, outside is falling apart. Broken screen door on our room. Cobwebs and faded wood. The people providing service were lovely, but it was obvious they were overworked. One girl on an entire floor of rooms is not enough for good cleaning. They restocked and straightened up, but they weren't cleaning our bathroom daily. We did enjoy the restaurant. Very good food. The lunch bar by the pool was okay and the drinks weren't very good. My drink tasted like pure alcohol and I wasted it. Perhaps an actual mixologist if you charge these kinds of prices. Not 5 star."

"I absolutely loved this hotel, mostly because of the beautiful beach break right at the back door of the hotel! We spent the whole time boogie boarding and skimboarding! The hotel is nice, restaurant is good, gym was great and the indoor hot tub was very nice! I used the laundry room and it worked great! Would definitely stay here again!"

"They have cookies at the front desk at 6:00 which by far is the best thing ever. The bedroom floor was a little sandy I understand that it's a beach resort but still the floor should have been vacuumed a little bit better. Breakfast is at 7:00 which is late and I miss it every time I'm here. But other than that the hotel is awesome."

During these months, the weather is beautifully mild, with temperatures comfortably hovering between 65°F and 75°F, superb for leisurely strolls along the uncrowded beaches or enjoying a round of golf at the renowned Kilmarlic Golf Club. While many families with school-aged children gravitate towards the peak summer months of July and August for their beach getaways, couples and solo travellers often find May and September more appealing for their tranquil atmosphere. During the summer, hotel availability can become quite competitive, and rates generally reflect the high demand for prime beachfront properties. For those seeking a truly exceptional experience with easier reservations, May provides a wonderful opportunity.

However, savings vary depending on factors like destination, travel dates, and availability, so it's wise to compare options. With access to over 300,000 hotels worldwide, Expedia makes it easy to build the perfect travel package.
Can I cancel my beach hotel reservation on Expedia?
Many Expedia hotel reservations are refundable, provided that you cancel before the hotel's cancellation deadline—this is often within 24-48 hours of your scheduled arrival. Be sure to check your booking confirmation for the exact cancellation policy. For maximum flexibility, use Expedia's "Fully refundable property" filter during your search to find the right beach hotel in Powells Point for you.
