“Our stay at the Relax Shack came during an unexpected heatwave. Having this comfy, spacious two-bedroom house allowed our 21 year old daughter, our dog, and US to spread out and chill out without getting on each others nerves. The house provided everything needed to prepare our meals and the large deck was lovely-when we managed to avoid the heat. I picked up a nail in my tire and asked our hosts, Amber and Brett for suggestions for a reliable garage to repair/replace it. They suggested a place……

“This house was a perfect find in Duck for a couple families with small kids. The bedroom and bathroom situation worked well, property was clean, and location was great. Two things really stood out tho. First, when the property listing says the kitchen is well stocked, it's not an exaggeration. There are plenty of pans, utensils, even a pitcher. Everything is super clean too. But the best was the communication from the host- responsive and helpful at every turn. Thanks for the great stay!”

“My wife and I celebrated 29 years of marriage with a long relaxing weekend at the Outer Banks. The property was clean, comfortable, and close to everything we could want. The host was very communicative and did a wonderful job. We didn't end up getting to use the hot tub but the cozy outdoor space was super inviting! The Recovery Room is perfect for a romantic getaway,”

“Perfect place to stay with our dog. There's even a gate separating the living and bedroom areas. Nice neighborhood as well. We were there in January, and many of the houses seemed to be occupied by owners, which probably makes it a quieter neighborhood in the summer as well.”

“Okay the property is very expensive for the price that I paid. So definitely no go and will not suggest this to anyone. Additionally, the host is very polite on the face of it, but is really unfair when it comes to the problem solving. Like literally, the bathroom knob was broken and the host is like IDC if someone come into the bathroom while you poop.”
