"Check-in was a little cumbersome, as there was only one individual available to check in multiple people resulting in a long line. After check in, the stay was much better. For those traveling with older individuals with less mobility, it may be a bit difficult to get around the sprawling grounds and stairs in some units. With that being said, I would absolutely stay here again! I do recommend this property!"

"We had an excellent stay. The Commonwealth is a perfect combination of new and freshly remodeled, while also offering real charm and historical tradition. We booked a suite, which was fantastic as it allowed out 18-year-old son (who just started his Freshman year at the University of Richmond) to sleep in the pull-out sofa bed on two nights. This allowed my wife and me to spend some great "late night" time catching up with him before we turned in. Anton at the bar was excellent, offering great conversation alongside awesome drinks."

"I was unfamiliar with the area, and the staff readily helped me and my son find a wonderful restaurant to dine at for dinner and then the next day a delicious restaurant for breakfast. They also helped me figure out how to use uber to get to the concert we had tickets for and helped us with ancillary food needs. And the late-night attendant helped me figure out my room's TV remote that was unfamiliar to me. Our rooms were off a quaint plant surrounded staircase. I will most definitely stay there again."

"I could not find 1 thing to complain about from the staff to the breakfast, to the condition of the property. The room was clean and well taken care of by the staff each day. I definitely would stay there again!"
