Pros: It was clean and the staff was friendly
Cons: Nothing
Location: The location was isolate, we did not leave the hotel. We did take a fishing tour. This was not worth the money.
The hotel was very nice. The rooms were clean and well stocked. Our room was upgraded and included a seating area and a large king bed. The room service was excellent and friendly. The food was good lots of variety and good alacarts. I would recommend the surf and turf at the cantina. The service by the pool was excellent both Orsar and Manuel was our server most days. It says tips are not required but we tipped small amounts daily. The only complaint and it is not the hotels fault,was the bugs. You never saw any but I woke up with huge welts on my arms and legs. All bites were itchy and resulted in scabs. It you get them rub lime or lemon on them, it helps.

The room was excellent

Pros: The room was best, is really big and clean and beautiful balcony sea view, the pools were nice to, excellent.
Cons: They only have one cook and the line is long when you are waiting for them to prepare like an omelet for example. And the beach is not that great
Location: the location is great, private beach, there is available things to do at the beach, like boats to ride, fishing jet skiings just to mention a few.

Great all inclusive right on the beach

This was an amazing resort right on the beach. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We spent a lot of time in the pool where you could enjoy the view of the beach while sitting at the swim up bar. They always made sure you had a drink in your hand. There was really good food too. I recommend the Italian restaurant. We are definitely going back next year!

A Great Place but $500 Resort Credit Is Not There

Pros: The lush setting and laid back atmosphere. The ability to request rooms and get them. The Facilities, Beach and Pools are just excellent.
Cons: The steaks need help in there quality. The VIP Services need an Overhaul. The $500 resort credit promised does not exist ...This is Fraudulent.
Location: Stayed in the resort and walked the beaches.
Overall the experience was very good. The food is a solid B most of the time with some gusts to an A-. Quality of steaks and high end food need improvement. Atmosphere is excellent and laid back. Rooms are very nice. The Staff works hard to work with the Guest in most instances. Would recommend going through the front desk for check in and leaving the Hotel. Vip services gets overwhelmed often not enough staff or back up leads to poor and rushed services and lack of explanations and restaurant reservations thereby limiting your reservation to nicer places. Would go back again. Love this place and it has a new an better culture this time Wait staff goes over and beyond as do the Bellman and Room service very good.

Nice hotel on the beach but a bit far away from PV

Cons: Food in the Italian restaurant
I really had a great vacation in this hotel. Although there are some small negative details that could be improved. One of the great advantages of Puerto Vallarta is not to be too hot in December. It has a very pleasant weather which most of the time does not require air-conditioning. In spite of that the main restaurant which has big windows right on the beach has this cold A/C full blast all the time. The other restaurants are nothing to write home about with the exception of the fresh tacos by the beach made by a wonderful cook (Esmeralda). For the rest service is excellent the rooms spotless clean, the reception, the premium service and other services serve with courtesy and big smiles. Special mention for the medical service which was particularly professional when our child had a small accident. my only regret is that the hotel is not enough near to the great City pf Puerto Vallarta which we enjoy visiting for dinner and shopping.

Older resort...mediocre food!

This is a very honest, accurate review of my recent stay with a family of 3 adults and 4 children. Booked because of the good reviews but very misleading...this is an older resort with very dated rooms. Although the rooms have a large layout, it doesn't make up for the musty smelling, loud sounding air conditioner that was never fixed. Very dated! Paid for the upgraded package for premium alcohol and club....not worth it! Alcohol and juices were watered down and disgusting, the club was a small room with dry unappetizing finger food and more watered down alcohol. My husband got food poisoning on first day. I did on the third day. Buffet had very little variety and food was mediocre at best! Had to call the front desk a few times because of noisy neighbors partying until 3 to 4am several nights. Very disappointing resort for how much we spent. The pools were heated and seemed well maintained. On the positive, since the food was so bad, it forced us to eat out at two wonderful restaurants in town....highly recommend going to Barcelona Tapas and Cafe de Artiste. Superb food and drinks...the best meal and drinks of our entire week in PV!

All Inclusive Resort in Puerto Vallarta

Pros: Room, swimming pools, staff, cleanliness
Cons: Move the bar from Building 1 to some other place, so people in that building could get some rest. Make beach private, so it won't be so crowded during
Location: We rented a boat to take us snorkel to nearby grotto. That was fun
Positive: Nice, good size suite, balcony with partial ocean view, nice bathroom, 4 swimming pools with very warm water, nice attentive staff, lots of lounge chairs by the pools and beach, clean everywhere, good drinks. O.K. Food, beach, entertainment Negative: Loud music blasted every night in the bar until midnight on the bottom floor of our building, was impossible to rest Thundering of the breakers was so loud all night long every night, it was hard to fall asleep (probably not hotel's fault but still a negative), the hotel grounds are small, there is nowhere to go if one wants to take a walk, beach is also very narrow and short, no long walks on the beach either.

Beautiful hotel, nestled in a cove on the beach.

Pros: Everything..
Cons: More variety of music being played out by the pools...
Location: The location was in a beautiful setting, with the beach out front and mountains to the left all nestled in a cove.
The grounds at the resort were beautiful,and well maintained. The staff was very helpful and friendly, made us feel welcomed. We ate at the buffet for breakfast and dinner, and the snack bar for lunches. The food was great at both places. Hector at the swim-up bar was one of our main bartenders, we loved him....all of the servers were so friendly and welcoming. Suzie on the beach was wonderful too, she hooked us up with a boat/snorkling trip she even found another couple to go with us. We just loved this place overall and we will be going back. Thank you for making our experience a memorable one!!
