“Good”

“I was surprised that the place was quite a hike downhill. I have limited mobility and it was very difficult. It was very loud in proximity to the city which I also did not expect. There was no water or cups available which I’ve had at every other hotel I’ve stayed at excitably at that price. The food and the pool were amazing. All the huts had hammocks except mine. Once I asked they were accommodating and got one hung up but it was one of the main reasons I reserved the place and was……

“We loved our stay here. The staff were so helpful. It was nice that we could order our breakfast ahead of time so that it was ready even if we had a tour to get to. It was a bit of a ways from town but we walked there for lunch once. It was also easy and cheap to coordinate a taxi to town if you prefer. The property was beautiful and we even got free coconuts. at the pool one day. ”

“I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again.”

“This place is great. My only negative is we were under the restaurant. So when it opens at 6:30am we hear all foot traffic. Other than that reception and grounds were excellent!”

“We really enjoyed our stay at Maya Bella. It was simple and super easy to get to all our activities. Good food and drinks near by. Pool was great. Air conditioners worked very well. It was nice being able to refill water bottles with their purified water and always being able to make tea. We recommend!”

“Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable. I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing. Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time.”
