Saratoga superbowl expereience

Posted Feb 7, 2018
Pros: location , cleanliness of room friendly staff, value
Cons: earlier continental breakfast
Location: close to everything racino, harness track, restaurants , lots of night life
From fla. we were in Saratoga for a super bowl function , accommodations were conveniently close to downtown restaurants and nearby super bowl function , the room was clean and recently updated . tv was 42" flat screen lots of channels available, had a great shower with good water pressure and lots of hot water ., for a week end stay in Saratoga this hotel was a very good value for the price, the staff were very helpful and accommodating my needs, Not the newest place to stay in town but one of the best.

If you like the smell of stale cigarette smoke

Posted Jan 17, 2018
Pros: Location
Cons: Smell, 50 years of deferred maintainence.
this place may be ok for you. Inexpensive (but not as inexpensive as it should be) with a great location close to downtown Saratoga, it is better than a tent. Because it has a bathroom and hot water.

Old, cheap, ok place to sleep

We arrived very late- the manager was very talkative. The room reminded me of 1970's motels- though it did have a medium- sized flat screen TV, microwave, and mini-fridge. The mattresses were firm and comfortable and the room was clean. The exterior is also very dated but mostly maintained.

Scarry at best!

The rooms haven't been updated since the early 1960's. Couldn't turn heat off and it was 80 degrees outside. My friend's were staying next door they had the same problem with the heat and their TV was not working. The continental breakfast was dirty looking.

Don't bother.

Pros: Location
Cons: Tear it down and rebuild.
Location: Downtown Saratoga Springs and all that comes with the racecourse meeting.
Disappointing to say the least. Booked a room during the recent Saratoga Racecourse meeting which means high room rates. Expected. The air conditioning unit (looked to be a beat up 1960's window unit) was total crap didn't cool the room hardly at all. Luckily it stormed that night and the temp outside dropped to where you could open the door and cool the room significantly. Noticed most of the other guests had their doors open much of the evening. While using my laptop at the table in the room that the air conditioning unit was spewing drops of water on me, the table and my laptop. Lucky I felt it and didn't leave the laptop on the table during that "rain". The table was soaked the next morning. Left the next morning for a cheaper room albeit down the road a little farther. The management wouldn't refund my stay for the days I still had booked (3). But you can bet your bottom dollar they rented that room to someone else those next 3 nights. High demand for joints this close to town during the race meet. They have me to thank for that. Your welcome. If you don't mind paying high rates for substandard amenities, this is the place for you. I have a saying for places like this, "I don't mind staying in joints like this, I just have a problem paying for it." Have fun.

Good basic comfort

Extremely convenient, 60s style motel, helpful staff. Clean, basic comfort, decent price for racing season, breakfast included. Don't come here expecting luxury accommodations, but it is one of the best lower end accommodations in town.
