“The property is old and due for renovation. It was very clean. Staff were very personable and helpful. Offered breakfast. Had a small gym. It was close to wineries and within 30 miles of major waterfalls. Free parking. I would stay there again and look forward to the renovations.”
“We stayed here for a quick weekend getaway and had a wonderful experience. The location in Auburn is super convenient—it’s an easy drive to downtown spots, local historical sites, and nearby parks, making it a great base camp if you're touring the region.
The room was clean, quiet, and comfortable, providing everything we needed for a relaxing night's rest after a busy day out. The staff was friendly and welcoming from check-in to check-out. If you're looking for a reliable, no-fuss, and cozy……
“Had to wait 25 minutes to get waited on. Opened the door to the room & the smell about knocked us over. Couldn’t stay in the room or would have been sick. Went back to office & had to wait another 15 minutes for someone to help us. Boy that came to help said he was sorry. I asked for a refund & he told me he couldn’t since I didn’t pay him. Left & had to get another room at a better place @ hope I can get my money back”
“Convenient location for Auburn and Skaneateles touring. Quiet as a church mouse. Historic old inn, former boys school built in 1851. Breakfast is enough to get you by. Bar and restaurant are only open for special events but you are welcome to enjoy the dining room and porch with your morning coffee, pastry and yogurt. You will probably be joined by the owner and others. Good place to chat about the area and local history. Or they’ll leave you be if you want your privacy. .”
