This is a capsule hotel, a uniquely-Japanese accommodation where you pay approximately ¥4000 to sleep in a kind of walled-off bunk with shared bathing facilities. Until recently they were men-only, but now co-ed versions, with separate floors for men and women have started springing up in surprisingly ...

We had lived in Japan before so the check in procedure was fine. I can see why some tourists would find it strange - you have to sign lots of documents which look like you are renting it for a month, but you aren't. You have to get a can about 1km up the road to check in. It's basically a full apartment ...

The noise from the train tracks was deafening. The tv is setup in the most awkward position. What they pass off as the tv program was pornography just placed in plain view. The staff wanted to charge me 820 yen just to reserve a cab (utterly pathetic).

Shiba, Tokyo Hotel Guide

Shiba is a neighborhood of Tokyo, which is the national capital of Japan. From Shiba, the center of Tokyo is around 2 miles to the north.

Tokyo offers visitors numerous excellent things to see, including the Disneyland® Tokyo, Tokyo Sky Tree and the Sensoji Temple.

Shiba is the perfect neighborhood to explore if you are interested in checking out Tokyo Tower, one of Tokyo's star visitor attractions.

You'll enjoy giving your wallet a good workout at Aqua City Shopping Center, one of the region's best locations to shop. If you're on the lookout for some close-by hotels, the Hilton Tokyo Odaiba and InterContinental Tokyo Bay are excellent options. Admire the architectural handiwork and religious symbols at Tsukiji Hongan-ji Temple. The hotels to look into near here are the APA Hotel Ginza-Takaracho and Mitsui Garden Hotel Ginza Premier.

After a morning of discovering Shiba, let your feet lead the way to ドトールコーヒーショップ シーバンス ア・モール店 for a cup of coffee and an indulgent snack. When dinnertime rolls around, get a second taste of the local dining scene at ラヴェンナ. Beer Kitchen AOSHIMA 東芝ビル店 is the perfect local hangout to sip on a wine or beer when the sun starts to set.
