“There is nothing boutique about this overpriced hotel. Peeling wallpaper, dirty walls, mould on the bathroom ceiling, no bathmat, blinds that don't come down in the bathroom for privacy and a terrible bed. This is a hotel with so much potential if somebody would just give it some much needed love and updating.”

El hotel está muy bien, pero no me agradó mucho la parte exterior del hotel en donde la gente toma y hay indigentes. ![This is the interior of one of the finest timber churches in New Zealand, and is a testament to various people who helped save it.

St Paul's Church (as it was called) was finished and consecrated in 1866, built to a design by Rev Frederick Thatcher.  It served as the parish church for the suburb of Thorndon and as the Wellington Cathedral until the 1960's when a new modern cathedral was built.  Once the new cathedral was finished it was proposed to demolish this church, but growing public protest led to the NZ Government purchasing the property and placing it under the umbrella of the NZ Historic Places Trust. It was restored and reopened to the public in 1970
