The staff went over and beyond daily they are very friendly and accommodating with anything we needed always smiling and asking if need anything As far as the air conditioning in the entire RIU Palace (Paradise Island) it was awful!! When being outside all day in the scorching Bahamian sun & heat, you want to walk into a lobby to cool AC it felt hotter sometimes inside than outside Our room AC was a tad better but at times it was so hot after a long hot day in the heat we wanted to sit down to a nice relaxing dinner and be cool & comfortable instead we would be literally swearing my husband had sweat dripping down his face during our dinners at all restaurants on site! It was unbearable at some times it is very disappointing to spend that much money on a beautiful vacation and have awful AC conditions! We heard that they keep it on a timer but that’s insane it’s 88-90 daily outside and to have to be sweltering when you walk inside is absolutely ridiculous over all the RIU Palace was beautiful! We had an amazing 7 days of relaxing and fun! I would love to come back but the AC would definitely be a HUGE factor for us!

This is the secret jewel of our trip. I’ll never go back to Atlantis, but I will definitely be back to the Exumas. Grand Isle staff are friendly and attentive. We stayed in a 3 bedroom villa and it was perfect. IT perfectly compliments the beauty of the Great Exuma island.
