Beautiful building, clean rooms with everything one needs. Good evening entertainment and a nice beach. We felt that the property is underutilized, the grand hotel lobby looks as though it ought to have a grand piano and serve afternoon tea - it is totally underutilized. Same goes for the outside lovely grounds. The outside bar does not open until 10.30 am and is closed in the evening. People would love to set outside, perhaps have a guitarist and enjoy cocktails and a view sad to see no-one around.

This was our first trip to the Bahamas, and overall we had a great stay at RIU! Food: The buffet had decent options and everything was fresh and well prepared. The restaurant food was very good, so be sure to download the RIU app and make reservations. The lobster at two of the restaurants was delicious, and the poolside jerk chicken was a highlight. Pool: The pool area was clean, but chairs fill up quickly, so grab a spot early. Beach: Absolutely beautiful. The water was crystal clear, there was no seaweed, and the staff cleaned the beach every morning. Weather: The forecast called for rain every day, but it only rained for about five minutes during our entire trip. Don't rely too much on the weather app! Bars: Good drinks and friendly staff overall. Some bartenders were more personable than others, but service was good. Cleanliness: The resort and rooms were very clean, and we didn't encounter any bugs. Extra pillows were provided upon request. Atlantis: I highly recommend walking to Atlantis, which is about 15 minutes away. It's a nice way to spend a day off the resort and explore the area. Overall: A great quick getaway with beautiful beaches, clear water, and good food. I would definitely recommend it!
