We booked this hotel specifically because it has a water park, since we're traveling with kids and that was the whole point of choosing this property. When we arrived, though, the front desk handed us a paper to sign informing us that the water park pool was closed for maintenance, with no indication of when it would reopen. On top of that, the beach was overcrowded and far too small for the number of guests staying there. Between the two issues, it was a rough start to the trip, and we ultimately decided to change hotels, losing nearly a full day in the process. To be fair, the receptionist who helped us was polite and courteous. However, the hotel was unwilling to issue a refund for the reserved nights we didn't use. Thankfully, Expedia stepped in and helped us resolve the issue, which we really appreciated.
