Stowe Independent Hotels & Suites

My wife and I stayed in Linda and George's beautiful B&B in Stowe for 2 night in early October. They are wonderful hosts and run a truly special B&B that is thoroughly deserving of its outstanding reputation! They and Tony could not have made us feel more welcome.

This is a great hotel and out room was very spacious. But two things about our room were not the best. First, as many others have mentioned the air con is NOISY! We ended up switching it off and opening the windows. However this only partially solved the problem. The room overlooked the street and there was road noise throughout the night could be heard. Thank goodness it was mid week as it could have been a real problem during Friday and Saturday nights when the area is much busier We could also hear the air con units in adjoining rooms going on and off during the night. If you stay here, bring heavy duty ear plugs. Second: The spa bath was a lovely, but not when it also houses the shower. Back problems meant it was not easy to get in and out of the tub to shower, which had much higher sides than conventional bath.

This small motel type B&B was quiet with a wonderful outside porch where breakfast was served as you look out at the Vermont mountains and contemplate the day's activity. Great little town also.

The cabins are clean, comfortable and includes everything needed to appreciate our stay here. AC was very nice considering the unusual hot humid weather. We'll be back!

My husband and I enjoyed every minute of our stay at VTFL. So much so, we stayed an extra night. We have stayed in countless hotels, lodges, & B&B's. This is our favorite. There is so much to see and do. When you come, plan to stay at least 2 days and bring your hiking shoes. You won't want to miss all of the fun year round outdoor activities available or just enjoy some of the 2500 acres of woods, gardens, and farm animals. From tours of their working maple syrup operation, to meeting their menagerie of farm animals, food and flower gardens, to mountain biking & snow skiing. Bring your appetite because their restaurant doesn't let you go hungry. Many of their menu items are farm to table, raised by them and their knowlegeable team. The Von Trapp family knows how to host, and they do it well!

This resort and spa was the perfect getaway. This hotel was adorable and offered many amenities. I did not even have enough time to enjoy all of them. The restaurant on-site served delicious food and its staff was very accommodating. Can't wait for my next trip back to this charming place!

Great family hotel in a good area for having simple fun in Stowe. Rooms we stayed in felt a bit tired and dated - but have ample space, good facilities, and it's hard t fault setting and location. Good restaurants in walking distance as well as bike hire for the Stowe Recreation Path.

Cute room with an electric fireplace, pretty sure it had real flame. Old and needs an update but our bed was comfy and I loved the sheets and comforter. Not your standard hotel bedding. However out allergies were acting up. I think it was from the AC. No mini fridge or TV, but we were only staying one night so it was fine. We had a balcony that I believe was shared with other rooms. We had a really late checkin and it was no problem but there was no one around to get the wifi password from. Really cute room names. Was not aware this was a wellness center but I'm perfectly fine with all that. Think one with the earth and the 70s.

Good location, reasonable price. A lot amenities, bikes, pools, hot tubs, free DVDs rental and breakfast included. A little bit noisy since I can hear people's talk when they walk pass by the room, go up down and stairs. Close to restaurants....................................................

Nice, clean, quiet. Excellent breakfast included. In walking distance to Stowe, on the Rec Trail.
