“The staff is tremendous. The front desk staff went absolutely above and beyond. I can't remember her name but my Folio says it was "swills". I hope she gets this message as she was amazing. The rooms are very modern, the hotel has a very retro beachy vibe, and the restaurant is among the best in Parksville. Try the Fisherman's Chowder. Unreal. ”

“We loved the vibe of this whole hotel: the very welcoming hosts, the way it’s decorated with antiques, the delicious breakfasts in Edie Mae’s Cafe in the mornings. It was a great base for exploring the Powell River area, and we highly recommend staying at The Old Courthouse!”

“There should be 3 warm options, and better healthy on the go options, and more variety. Fresh fruit and veggies (the fruit was not fresh). Staff were helpful but I got no offers to tidy up my room, replenish my towels and toiletries. Also no direct access to the gym. Gym’s tv not functional. Also they cut off access by card for door at one end, very inconvenient and silly seeing as anyone with a card could just open the door from inside. ”
