Very friendly people and amazing atmosphere!

For a basic motel, this was as good as you can get.

Clean and easy to get to. Staff very friendly.

Clean, tons of parking, and really friendly people! One note is that the shower is a bit small which was fine for me but if you are a taller or bigger person you could have some trouble.

Mike was a great host and made a great breakfast. Covid protocols were followed carefully which was important to us. Great stay!

Austin was a great host: friendly, outgoing and very knowledgeable! His facility is extremely well maintained and his waffles alone are worth the trip! We'll be back!

On my check in, the receptionist was super friendly. I was so tired from 4hrs driving as he was so kind and sincere to me. The room was clean and comfortable.

It was a real treat to stay at the Balsam Inn! The Inn is off the beaten path like I wanted and very very quite. Jenny is a warm welcoming host. Excellent staff friendly, property clean, Breakfast good

Staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. This is one the best hotel experience I’ve had in a long time.

Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!

I love the Hotel Utica! From the wonderful, exceptional staff to the beautiful lobby, to the wonderful views of the city from the windows. The staff there is so helpful and friendly, everyone takes pride in working there. The lady who cooks the buffet breakfast makes different things every day. very charming place. Rustic and fits into the setting well. if you are looking for modern this isn't it. if you are looking for unique, comfortable, and old country home feel, this is it.
