Such a great boutique hotel! Staff and food were awesome
We had the most incredible stay at Layla - this was for our honeymoon and it couldn’t have been more magical. The pool area is stunning and our room was lovely and spacious - the balcony a great addition as was the walk in shower. Breakfast was delicious, and made even better by Michael who was so attentive - we looked forward to seeing him every morning!
Location is ace, and so easy to explore central Tulum - if you want to go further afield the concierge were to hand and organised everything seamlessly.
Food was fab - my husband was particularly taken with the charred corn and tropical ceviche.
Overall, fantastic, and if we ever return to Tulum, we would be staying here.
Beautiful hotel and lovely people.
All the crew was very kind, attentive to every detail and helpful with everything I needed,
Felt almost like Home 🤗
Will definitely come back.
Thank you all for making my stay special.
Beautifully decorated hotel, excellently thought out style but the real stars are the staff. They are helpful, friendly and provided us with excellent advice regarding our holiday.
The property is amazing, the staff is amazing extreme helpful and kind. It is centrally located to everything in downtown Tulum. Would recommend staying here.
This was such a wonderful experience we missed a day at this beautiful hotel and they were kind enough to give us dinner on the house . The artwork inside is stu
The Layla was a fantastic place to stay. The staff was amazing and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the cocktails at the rooftop bar were delicious. We will be returning
Great location, very clean, and safe with top notch service. I have never been to Mexico before and the front desk team was super helpful. They helped us build a full itinerary. I cannot wait until the next visit!
Amazing place with great staff. I can’t wait to come back again. I had a great time. Joshua and the receptionist were really nice to us! Thank you so much.
Great stay at Layla. Excellent service, good drinks on roof top bar. Very good location in Tulum peubla, close to good restaurants and bars. Don’t go for the hanging bed. Takes up the whole room and makes lots of noice.
Layla is the perfect place to stay if you’re visiting Tulum. Its staff is helpful, bight, and extremely friendly. It’s located at a central location close to amazing restaurants, music, and nightlife. Highly recommended!
Honesty i had some ideas for places to eat but the concierge were amazing with their suggestions. Definitely ask the conciegre for their suggestion on places to eat. Shout out to staff :).
The staff were magnificent. Very attentive, caring and fun. They helped us with restaurant and beach recommendations, arranged our airport transfers, and were a delight. The food in the hotel was very good, as were the cocktails. Very clean and sage and a feast for the eyes!
The hotel was beautiful and the customer service was awesome. Small boutique hotel in town that was walking distance to everything we wanted. The decor, rooms, and pool were all so unique and memorable. The staff was very accommodating and helped us get a reservation at a beach club that suited our needs. The only thing that wasn’t perfect was that it wasn’t by the beach but the owner said he is in the process of building one there. We will definitely stay there once it is completed.
STAFF WAS AMAZING!!! So friendly and accommodating-- great hospitality.
Paid for a upgraded room but was changed to a different room due to an undisclosed problem. However, offered a bottle of wine/room service on the house.

Rooftop pool was a vibe
My husband & I stayed 4 nights recently. The hotel is just as pretty in person as it is online. The rooftop pool was beautiful, we didn’t make it to the pool on the 1st floor but it was calling our name every time we walked past it. Cat at the front desk checked us in, she was wonderful.
PROS:
• Friendly Staff
• Clean Hotel
• Our room stayed COLD
• Yummy Food (eggs at breakfast, burgers, fries, grilled chicken, mexican street corn - all DELICIOUS)
• Towels Always Smelled Nice
• Great Location - Walking distance to restaurants & shopping
CONS:
• Our bed was FIRM. And we don't sleep on a pillowtop at home ▪︎ F I R M.
• They don't provide free bottled water, only a carafe. Granted they will fill it as often as you like but it was a little bit of a pain.
• They ask you not to flush toilet paper. I assume this is because the location is in the City & not in the big touristy areas, I don't know. We've never been asked that on any of our trips to MX so it was unexpected. So go with a little travel bidet from Amazon ($9).
• There isnt a lot of room for clothing. No drawers, just 6 or so hangers & a couple of shelves. But there is plenty of room for toiletries.
Tulum is a lovely little boutique hotel in downtown Tulum. The customer service is excellent. The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated. The air conditioning works like a charm, and it is so crisp in the rooms when you need a break from the heat.! Breakfast is very tasty, as are the burgers and the hand-crafted mojitos. The passion fruit was the best. Downside, the drive from Cancun airport is long. If I had to do it all over, I would do private transportation. You do need to leave the area for any excursions. There is not much to do in the general downtown area.
