Perfect apartment to visit Venice

Posted Nov 16, 2016
After booking the Giardini B&B the owner, Roberto, contacted me to tell me that it was already booked so he offered me another apartment near the B&B. We arrived at 1h00 a.m. and he wait for us to give us the keys of the apartment and go there with us. We thank you very much for that. The apartment has everything you should need (heating, tv, kitchen stuff, kettle, toaster, ...... even a washing machine). Close to apartment there is also anything you need (supermarkets, restaurants, all kind of shops, pubs, etc..). There is a vapporetto station at 3 minutes walk. If I ever come back to Venice I will definitely try to book that apartment again!! Thank you very much Roberto!!

Very good choice

Posted Nov 14, 2016
Location: B&B strategically located in central Venice
This B&B was just perfect for our stay. The apartment was large, we had a comfortable sitting room, the bathroom was modern and there was nothing amiss. The breakfast was good. The owners were very helpful and forthcoming. Though we stayed for only two nights, the comfort and warmth of this place made our visit to Venice memorable. If we come back to Venice it will be our first choice.

Feeling at home

Posted Nov 11, 2016
Pros: Giardini B&B was a great surprise. It was our first time in Venice. We were warmly welcomed by Roberto - he was very polite and gentle giving us some tips for our days in Venice and he helped us with carrying our baggage to the apartment. Important: there's no elevator and the two flights of stairs are quite steep (if this is a problem for you - be aware!) Despite the lack of elevator, the room is extraordinary - you feel like you're at home! Really spacious room, living room, bathroom and kitchen - and Wifi is high speed. Close to everything - main sightseeing spots, boat stops, a large park. We loved it. Highly recommended.
Cons: We are a bit on the chubby side... an elevator would have been great!

Dear Melinda, thank you for your kind words. We are glad that our apartment is worth, according to your opinion, the two flights of stairs. If ever you return to visit us, however, we will accommodate you  in the apartment on the first floor, although, as you saw, the view from the second floor is better. Best wishes Roberto

Great location, good breakfast, lovely apartment

Posted Nov 11, 2016
Pros: Above all its location, in the heart of magical Venice
Cons: Cons? None
Location: Biennale Art Exhibition is nearby
Its location is super, situated right in the heart of a genuine historical neighborhood. There are some great restaurants and bars right out of the door. All historic sites are within easy reach on foot (10-15min walk). The rooms were really quiet and spacious, and the family that runs the B&B is really friendly, and had some good tips for places to visit. And the breakfast was good, with bread, butter, jam, pastries, fruit juices, yogurt, coffee and tea. The apartment we stayed in also had its own cooking facilities, so we could make our own meals if we wanted to.

Dear Dan, thanks for your review. We wait for you next year for the Biennale of Modern Art, as you said, and we will drink again the Sicilian wine that you appreciated this year! Kind regards Marina

Absolutely fabulous authentic place!

Posted Nov 8, 2016
Pros: The location is fabulous, Marina was amazingly accommodating and honest and friendly. The facilities were as described and sparkling clean. Would definitely reccommend!
Cons: Milk, coffee and a croissant is provided - best to go out and explore a Venetian cafe instead.

Dear Sir / Madame, thank you for your review. I hope your stay in Venice was pleasant and you found cozy cafes for your breakfast. I'm sure yes, because Via Garibaldi is full of locals of all kinds. We provide coffee, sugar, tea, milk, jam, butter, bread, and brioches to allow our guests to have breakfast in the warm of the apartment. But I think it is a good idea what you have done: to explore the many cafes of Via Garibaldi. I hope to have you again as my guests.

Friendly and quiet

Posted Oct 11, 2016
Location: In central Venice
We’ve just spent a weekend here. Couldn't have chosen a better place. It's in a great location, handy for exploring the city, and a few steps away from a waterbus stop for getting out and about. Our apartment was tidy, quiet and spotlessly clean, and had one of the most comfortable beds I've ever found in a B&B. The continental breakfast offers a good variety of items. Marina and Roberto are welcoming and helpful hosts, who responded patiently to our questions with any information we needed. I would recommend it strongly, we had a thoroughly relaxing weekend.

Dear Brynn, our daughter was very happy to have with you the long conversation in German that you had while walking towards Rialto. It served a lot to improve her pronunciation and she thanks you very much. We too thank you for your sympathy and we hope to have you back here in Venice with us. Marina & Roberto

Cosy B&B, strategically located

Posted Oct 8, 2016
Location: Near Giardini stop. Typical Venetian neighborhood.
I would highly recommend B&B Giardini to anyone travelling to Venice. The proprietors were very friendly, took the time to show me restaurant and city recommendations on a map, and were always helpful. The location is excellent, steps away from delicious cafes and restaurants in a beautiful part of the city. If you walk along the charming waterfront you get to St Mark’s square in fifteen minutes. The apartment itself was spotless and comfortable, with clean bathroom and kitchen. Adequate continental breakfast.

Dear Rick, we are pleased to learn from your review that you have followed our advice and you've walked to Piazza San Marco. Not really worth to take the "vaporetto". As you saw, the 15 minutes walk is wonderful, with the island of San Giorgio to the left, the "Chiesa della Salute" and the "Punta della Dogana" in the face and the bell tower of San Marco to the right. One more reason to return to Venice. We wait for you!

Very good accommodation and hospitality

Posted Oct 6, 2016
Location: Close to Biennale. Shops and restaurants nearby.
Venice can feel very busy and crowded and it was so relaxing to come back to this B&B in a very local neighborhood that was 15 min or so on foot from the heart of the city. It was a 5 min walk to the vaporetto stop so it was also easy to use public transportation. Our room was spacious and had all the amenities needed for a great stay. Our stay was trouble free, very quiet at night, and comfortable in every way. Our hosts gave us the most useful and complete orientation to their city I have ever received. Breakfast was good, the rate was very budget friendly, and good feelings about this magical city and Giardini B&B remain. I would definitely stay here again the next time I am in Venice.

Dear Diego, we thank you for the so flattering words that you used toward our establishment. We were pleased to meet you and see how you appreciate Venice and our neighborhood. It's true that Venice is very crowded, but our neighborhood is quite and inhabited mostly by genuine Venetians. We hope to see you again.

Great Apartment on a Beautiful Popular Street

Posted Oct 4, 2016
Pros: Homey Experience
Location: Tons of restaurants, supermarket next door and Pharmacies near.
I was not able to stay in the apartment originally booked, but the owner e-mailed me well in advance & advised me that the he had another apartment that he could put me in. I received directions via e-mail and was able to follow it directly to the owner's house. Roberto, is a very nice man, who walked me straight to my apartment. Yes, like the bad review said, it is three flights up, however, in this beautiful historical city, I think it acceptable that the apartments remain true to their roots & are not overly modernized; lack of an elevator for a three story building is more than acceptable. The apartment was very quaint and more than enough for me for the two days I needed to stay prior to going on a cruise. The A/C did make noise, but I was forewarned about it as the problem cannot be found & you eventually get used to it. The bedding was just fine & I was able to get a good night rest. The owner left some sweet bread in the kitchen and drinks in the fridge which was just fine for me as I didn't go there expecting a full breakfast to be provided everyday. The street that the apartment is on was so nice that I decided to return after my cruise as I has some time to kill. After Sitting down for about 15 minutes, the owner walked by & saw me in the restaurant & bought me a glass of wine & wished me well on my journey back home. This was overall a great experience, & if you're looking for a quaint apartment to uniquely experience Venice in, this is a perfect choice.

Dear Jonathan, it was really a surprise for me to see you casually in the bar drinking a good prosecco glass! I couldn't believe this after more than one week! It was a pleasure to drink with you and I hope to see you again, even casually, why not in London instead of in Venice! Thank you very much for your so kind words and greetings to your friend.

Charming B&B in charming Venice

Posted Oct 3, 2016
Pros: Location. Clean and comfy.
Extremely convenient location in a lively neighborhood just fifteen minutes' walk from st Mark's square. Plenty of food options around. Adjacent to Giardini vaporetto stop and Biennale. We loved the clean and spacious apartment with modern amenities and a large and comfortable bed. The hosts were lovely and informative and were pleased to help with local directions, restaurant recommendations and advice about moving around this stunning city.

Dear Geena, I liked your charm and elegance of your clothes. In this regard, the mistress of the tobacco shop at the corner of the house told me that all would turn when you passed on the way! It 'was very nice meeting you.
