"nice view"
nice service and nice view it would be better if they are able to provide toothbrush, toothpaste, and any essentials in the washroom upfront instead of available upon request, since most hotels provide toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, slippers or other essentials

"Charming & Relaxing"
Spent one night for my husband's birthday. Were up graded to top floor room. Beautiful view and room was impeccable. Comfortable king bed with choices of pillows. Shower had extra jetted spray for your back and amenities were appreciated especially the body lotion. Would be great idea to offer the body lotion for sale at the Spa. We had a late lunch at the Pub. Great service and delicious mussels et frites. The dinner wasn't has great. My husband was looking forward to try their Sushi, unfortunately the sushi chef was absent that evening. My husband decided to go with the Charcutrie and cheese platter, again disappointment after a half hour the server informed us that they were out of the Charcutrie platter. We waited a long time to actually eat dinner since he had to reorder another meal. The service was good but miscommunication between kitchen staff and server. Overall we really like our stay and definitely will come back. Not sure we will try the dinning room.

This is a fantastic hotel. Great, friendly staff. We stayed two nights and used the sauna facilities which is also open to the public. The location was perfect. Only about a 5 minute walk to the city center.

"The quintessential Victoria experience"
Even while, under major renovations The Fairmont Empress made us feel like royalty. We stayed on the newly opened Gold Floor - gorgeous guest room and lovely Gold lounge with a large sun deck overlooking the harbour. Nice variety of breakfast items, apples in the evening and a few dessert items later in the evening. Pool,is under renovation but Fairmont provided taxi vouchers to a nearby hotel for a swim and hot tub. Only disappoint, met is that the venerable Bengal Lounge is gone - a real loss.

Loved the location and pool! Room as attendants didn't replace towels placed in tub or put out clean glasses. Had breakfast at BlueCrab and was given cream and sugar with someone's used spoon and cream was only half full and curdled in coffee.
