“My wife and I had a very pleasant stay. For us it was a last-minute getaway. The price was very reasonable. The property was well kept. The innkeepers were very welcoming and helpful but not intrusive. The breakfasts were very good. The location is about ten minutes away from the beach at Nags Head. The steps are quite steep but as mentioned elsewhere quite typical of the time period the home was built in early 1900's. I'm 73 and had no problem with carrying suitcases up the stairs. “We arrived on Wednesday and I had to deal with smoking in a non-smoking hotel. I have congestive heart failure and lung failure. I complained Thursday night, Friday night, Saturday night, and Sunday. We checked out Sunday afternoon two days early because my health was compromised. They told me there was really nothing they could do about it. Don't advertise it as non-smoking if you won't enforce it.”
