“The hotel is in need of desperate renovation and repairs, elevators weren’t working properly, everything from doors, cabinets and carpets were worn scratched and outdated. Balcony rails were rusted and looked like black mold around the air conditioner and on the floor around it on the balcony. House keeping staff reeked of weed when they were next to us on elevator. We didn’t have our room cleaned while we were there because i didn’t trust them in our room. When you walked through the lobby,……

“Our hotel room was filthy. The beds had hair and sand in them and the floors were so dirty that walking from the bed to the bathroom left the soles of our feet black. The bathtub was dirty as well. Would not recommend.”

“Friendly staff. We had a lot of rain one night and the window and ceiling leaked really bad. There was sand in the bed as soon as we got in it. Also sand on the floor we couldn’t walk without shoes. Was very helpful when we got in super late though.”

“Constantly had fresh towels at my door but no toilet paper or trash bags. I went and just bought my own. The water smelt. There was rarely parking. It was a struggle to get in and out of the parking lot and other guests were always coming out and helping one another try to manage to squeeze into the parking lot. People stood in their doorways smoking and my room smelt like smoke a lot. I wouldn't stay here again.”

“This was our first time in Nags Head! Surf Side hotel did not disappoint. From the moment we checked in we had a great experience. We were celebrating my mom's 70th birthday and her small welcome gift in the room was such a beautiful surprise!! The hotel was very clean and all the staff were very helpful and accommodating to our needs!! The elevator is slow and breakfast is okay but those were the only 2 things that could be improved in our eyes! Thanks for giving us a great stay. We look……
