"We were really disappointed on arrival as the hotel was covered in scaffolding and the entrance looked much more like a 1970s multi-storey carpark than a 4* hotel. The stairs (the lift was out of order), reception area and room were very dated. The soundproofing in the bathroom was non-existent (my wife could hear everything next door). Having said that the beds were comfortable, the staff were friendly and the breakfast was ok."

"The hotel has lots of character. The rooms are nice and spacious and have all that you need. Some of the things in the room may be a little dated but overall comfort was great for us and the service at the breakfast was simply amazing. Very friendly and food was exceptional."
