“We booked a one-night experience for ourselves, our two sons and their respective wives at this highly rated facility as part of our vacation. We arrived early for our check-in, so one of three rooms was available which was fine. The rooms were large but had a musty smell when we entered. The bed was comfortable, but most of the amenities are dated. That said, this was meant to be a “lodge”, so our expectations may have been too high. “Moder, clean rooms w/jacuzzi tub and private outdoor deck. In floor heating; no noisy AC unit. Nice grounds to walk with our dog (pet friendly). Host provided outside movie and got a fire going. Hot breakfast (scrambled & sausage) plus good fruit, cottage cheese, yoghurt with usual coffee and selection of teas. Friendly staff who want to help. Property is well off the road and so peaceful. Restaurants are 5-8 mins away but parking is challenging as these are popular.”
