My daughter and I were in town for one night to tour RPI. We certainly chose well with our overnight accommodations. Although the house is quaint, extra clean, and decorated perfectly, the star of our stay was the innkeeper, John. From the moment we walked in, it was like seeing an old friend. John was friendly, kind and took excellent care of us. His hospitality made us want to come back again....very soon.

We loved our room. We loved that everything was new and gorgeous. We loved that we could buy a midnight snack. We loved the reasonable pricing. We loved that the location was so convenient for us. Stayed for a three day weekend. Loved eating breakfast daily by the fireplace.
The location was convenient to getting on the highway for a short trip to the Capitol and major shopping areas. I wish I had had time to enjoy the pool and gym.

The owner is a wonderful hostess, and the setting for breakfast is in the line of Downton Abbey, with all the china and set up. The Drawing Room is an excellent place to relax and read.

One downside was they didn't have a place where you could use a computer if you didn't have your own and print documents. The staff was very helpful and printed some things out but I'd prefer to do my own as then I know no one else is looking at my information is all.
