Skamania lodge is magical. Between the beautiful views, the serene grounds, the friendly and helpful staff, great food and cozy rooms, you can't go wrong here. We've stayed several times and we've never had a single complaint. We just love it here, it's a must do if you are visiting the Columbia River gorge.

Very nice hotel right on the river

Hotel is very nice and parking was easy. More help is needed at check-in. Other than that i would stay here again.

The location of this hotel is amazing. Perched right on Siletz Bay, the view from the room was gorgeous and the hotel was mere steps to the sandy beach. Many rooms are also dog friendly… great for a family trip to the coast. The hotel also had free parking, which is great for such a busy area! The street has local restaurants, coffee shops, and little beach shops. The only downside is the hotel is in need of some TLC. Our room didn’t have a working ceiling fan, the curtains didn’t close all the way, and the sink was clogged. Because of the heat wave and broken ceiling fan, we were given a fan (that was so dirty we had to ask for it to be cleaned) and the staff member helping us was quite rude as she seemed very put out by us asking for a way to cool the room. The vending machine was also completely out of water and the breakfast was very minimal. Overall, things were fine for a one night stay, but I don’t think we would have been comfortable for multiple nights in the room we had.
