“Overall, I think it was a pretty nice hotel and I would come back based on the location alone. The pool was pretty nice and the amenities were pretty okay. Biggest downside was that I was towing my small 5x8 utility trailer behind my SUV on my way to Laconia. When I parked my vehicle in the valet parking spot as I was told to do since the parking garages do not allow trailers, the gentleman that that parked us or took care of us that worked for the hotel said he was going to have to charge me……

“Expected more from an Ascend property than new furniture and trim surfaces in the bathroom. This is an older motel with new amenities. TV didn’t work. Window wasn’t locked and took effort to lock (single story hotel). The only friendly person on.the staff was the lady prepping breakfast. It was a decent location to get downtown.”

“Checked in 6/13 for one night. Nasty odor in the first room. Possibly a cleaning product as it had a strong ammonia smell, but also something else vaguely nauseating. Went down to the front desk, very courteous, promptly put us in another room. Unfortunately, turned out that room had a broken air conditioner! Wouldn’t run - 74 in room with thermostat set at 62. Called front desk (“Hey it’s us again…”) and they sent up a maintenance person who disconnected the unit from the wall thermostat so we……
