“We booked a two day stay at the Hampton Inn in beautiful Kittery, ME. We chose the Hampton Inn because of its name and reputation as a fine chain. We discovered that it was pet- friendly, which is fine, but also discovered that pets are not limited to certain floors ( i.e. ground floor or first floor only) but are allowed throughout the entire facility. To be blunt, our room smelled of wet dog. Not at first, but through the night, our half-carpeted, upholstered furniture room 409 became very……

“Good customer service from the front desk, however the I had to switch rooms twice due to them not being cleaned. Dirty sheets, towels on the floor, and bathrooms not up to date in condition.”

“Under construction hopefully, very outdated old place. Clean though. Of note, there was a hotel QR code sign that connected to a scam website. I made staff aware, they never removed it.”

“We absolutely loved the location—so convenient with all the amenities nearby! The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was spacious with comfortable beds. The pool was clean. Sadly, we couldn’t enjoy the nice balcony view because we had an upstairs guest who played music incredibly loudly until 11:00 pm, which we had to report to the staff. Then, at 3:00 am, there was another issue with the same guest, and we had to call the police. But overall, it was a good time!”
