Breakfast was basically tea, coffee, bagels, cereal, oatmeal packets, and creamer packets for your coffee. I would stay there again. The wild center is 6 minutes away from the hotel. The town of Tupper lake is small. The restaurant The Woodshed on Park is amazing. It is a must go to.”

“The room was comfortable, but had a kind of musty smell. It would have been nice to be able to open the window. Excellent location and plenty of parking. It was clean but could have used new carpets and paint here and there. It would have been nice to have more information about the shared bathroom. It had 2 toilet stalls and 2 working shower stalls all in one unisex bathroom that was similar to what you might find in a college dormitory.”

“I would just note that the bedrooms are on the top floor and there are stairs going to the ground floor where the living area, balcony, kitchen and dining area are. The rooms were lovely cabins with lots of room. It included all types of goodies to make your stay welcoming. In the bathroom there were toiletries, a hair dryer, and soft fluffy towels. We greatly appreciated the complementary coffee and tea as we'd forgotten to pack those. We also liked the sampling of books in our cabin to occupy……

“The house is a good place to stay if you need ample room and want a quiet retreat in Saranac Lake. Its not on the water but within a short drive of downtown and the lakes. If you have mobility issues this isn’t the place for you as the stairs to the second floor are very steep and there are floor level changes. The house manager should, I think, mark the floor level changes with bright tape because it takes a while to remember where they are. The house is pleasant and cosy and we enjoyed staying……

“The place was very clean and spacious. Very quiet and peaceful. The grill wasn’t great. There wasn’t a propane tank so we used the small coal grill. We were still able to make amazing meals. Most of the beds were very comfortable (the twin beds didn’t feel comfortable to sit on but no one used them to sleep on). Close to Old forge and was a great experience.”
